The girl with a storm in her heart

She walked in drenched white clothes
The hem flapping on her ankles
The wind whipped her brows
And rivulets of rain meandered on her face
The thunder rolled and the waves crashed
She walked with her head high
And her arms folded on her chest
She seemed not to notice nor care
The storm that was raging around her
The tempest in her heart
And the typhoon in her soul
Far outdid the one on the shore
The rocks and sand dug in her feet
And the waves splashed on her
Her hair in loose waves cascaded about her
Her eyes fixed on the horizon
She moved with no haste
But measured steps
towards some unseen goal
With almost impudence
At the challenging weather
No ropes could hold her and no rain would
She would find a way
To conquer the storm inside
And if peace prevails she will walk
And if the storms persist she would walk
Even more fiercely than before.
